On to the Final Exam    Posted: Nov 18, 2009
Congratulations again, the average for exam 3 is 79!!! Now on to the final exam which is active and ready for you to take. Make sure you cover all the assignments in chapters 16 & 17 and complete the chapter quizzes before taking the exam.

Subjects to concentrate on for the exercises that must be worked on the exam before the multiple choice question can be answered are as follows:

Chapter 16

Caculating cashflows from Operating Activites

Chapter 17

Calculate Sales Trends Price/Earnings Ratio

I hope this will help in your studies for Exam 4 which is due December 14!

Six Steps to Success    Posted: Sep 7, 2009
Before the first exam:
1.Read chapters 10 and 11.
2.Review the chapter supplementary materials such as the Narrated Slides, Powerpoint Presentations, vocabulary words.(Click on the Course Content icon on the left then click on the appropriate chapter to access these.) Take the Interactive Self Quizzes for practice.
3.Complete the homework as assigned in each session. This is NOT required to be turned in to your instructor.
4.Take the chapter quiz located in Gradebook. (You have unlimited time to answer the quiz questions. All 9 quizzes will total 20% of your total grade. Do well on these to keep your grade up.)There is no EXTRA CREDIT. These quizzes are my version of extra credit!
5.Participate in the chapter discussion on the discussion board.
6.Ask your instructor if you have questions.
You should be well on your way by now but if not begin these steps TODAY for chapters 10 and 11. Exam 1 is Sept.15.

Course Description
This is a web course that is a study of accounting terminology, concepts, techniques, methods, principles, practices, and procedures as applied to sole proprietorships. Typical financial transactions are analyzed in relation to the basic accounting equation and recorded in the books of the business. Financial statements will be prepared and interpreted by the students.

Prerequisites: No Prerequisites exist for this course.
